Township of Southgate Community Strategic Plan

Client: Township of Southgate

We worked with the Township of Southgate to develop a Community Strategic Plan for 2023-2027.

Through extensive research and engagement, our team synthesized findings and developed a comprehensive, actionable, and effective Community Strategic Plan. This Plan will help Southgate navigate through a period of significant transformational change and growth while being tailored to the community’s unique opportunities and challenges. 

Our team recognizes that facilitating inclusive collaboration and engaging with the local community is essential for creating an impactful Community Strategic Plan.

To this end, we:

• Reviewed Township and County documents, policies, and reports,

• Facilitated two interactive and collaborative Staff and Council workshops,

• Developed, distributed, and analyzed a community survey completed by more than 250 community members that live and/or work in the Township of Southgate,

• Held two community focus groups with one specifically for Township youth,

• Visited the Township 3 times to engage directly with residents, and

• Conducted one-on-one interviews with community members.
