Jessica Deveau, BES

Jessica is passionate about contributing to a sustainable and resilient agri-food sector by addressing the intricate issues facing our systems today. Jessica brings experience working with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada as an Agri-Environmental Project Assistant where she enjoyed supporting research for best management practice (BMP) projects. Jessica has a keen interest in assisting farmers in discovering efficient BMPs that will help with economic, environmental, and social sustainability.

Jessica has a bachelor’s degree in Environment, Resources, and Sustainability from the University of Waterloo. Her studies included environmental governance, impact assessments, wildlife ecology, ecosystem restoration, and water, food, and energy sustainability. Jessica enjoys building connections between environmental and social issues to better understand opportunities to contribute to a sustainable future.
